Christmas is a busy time for the choir. They have been out and about at various venues singing to a variety of people.
This week they were invited to Walton Hospital in Fazakerley. They sang in the foyer and then an and around 4 or 5 wards. It brought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people and the boys enjoyed it too.
Last night was the Merchant Taylors' Carol Concert in the Williams Hall. The boys performed to a packed house, stealing the show with some lovely carols, such as 'The Rag Time Carol' and 'Little Drummer Boy'. They were also able to appreciate the music from the Senior School with the Concert Band and their talented musicians, and the vocal group 'Wolfie's Gang'. There was also the traditional audience participation.
It was an excellent evening and everyone I spoke to had a fantastic time. The choir are now rehearssing for the last performance of the year at St Faith's for our Annual Carol Service. This is being held on the last day of term (Tuesday 18th December) at 10.30am.
