Design & Technology is taught as a specific lesson to all Junior 5 and Junior 6 boys. There is a purpose-built room for lessons with excellent facilities and equipment.
The boys enjoy learning new skills and are often using tools for the first time. In Junior 5 the boys are introduced to more complex equipment and workshop procedures.
The boys' projects in the past have included the designing and making clocks, cars and toys of various types.
In Junior 6 they are able to develop their planning, designing and evaluating skills. Lessons are industrious and provide a sociable, though guided, working environment. They even get a chance to make their own bread - exciting stuff!
Our Design and Technology lessons are hugely popular as they allow the boys to experiment with their own ideas and to physically create a working model.
