Exam Week - thoughts from some Year 5 boys

The Junior School has been a quiet haven this week as all of the classes have been involved in their Autumn Term exams.  Some of the boys in Year 5 have written about their experiences...

 Sam Edgington writes...

This is a report on our examinations in Merchant Taylors School in Crosby. I am Samuel Edgington. All of us had to revise hard as mean Mr Wardle made us revise revise revise . This year exam week started on 26th of November 2007 and finished on 30th November. It was quite tough because we had not done exams since summer.

Mr Wardle, on purpose, set some easy exams then some hard exams just to be mean. On the 1st day we did boring maths problems and annoying comprehension.

Luckily things picked up after then and tomorrow we have only 1 exam which is practical maths which by a matter of fact one of my best subjects.

This is what we did for different subjects.

MATHS

Mental maths,mechanical maths,problems,practical.

ENGLISH

Reading,spellings,language.

And for science just a big science exam.

Michael Hillesdon writes...

For J5W exams are very important. Every body was scared. Our first exam was on the 26 of November - Math's Problems.

It was very hard and every body was panicking. The hardest was English Language. But all the exams were hard.

...and Ben Kehoe writes...

On the 26th November 2007 at MTS there was the dreaded exam week. After one week of revision you would think a kid would have had enough.

But we all had to do exams. Mr Wardle never shuts up about Star Bars (they where even in the exams).

We started off with maths on Monday (I'm pretty good at maths). But then it came to Thursday - the dreaded story exam. I don't know if I've done so good. But every thing has gone well; I can't to see the results.

Well done to all of the boys - you've all worked very hard and I'm sure that you've done your very best.
