2020vision Merchants Connected ArchivesFootball Kit Appeal - the shirts are piling up
Our school has been asked if we will take part in collecting unwanted football kits to be sent out to children and young adults in Bagdhad. Some of the children out there have very little and they would get such pleasure from having a football shirt to wear.
We asked for donations of kits...and we got 'em! There is a pile of kits in Mr Wardle's room and the pile grows bigger, day-by-day, thanks to the donations from the boys.
However, there must surely be some more kits hiding in cupboards (and yes - we even accept Liverpool FC kits at a push!) so if you are having a tidy-out over the next week or so and find a kit or two (or even a tracksuit or other type of sports kit) that is simply gathering dust, why not send it in to school and give it to Sam Stubbs in Year 6 (he's the boys' co-ordinator - and a good one too!)) and it can be added to the shirt mountain in John Bebb House.
Your help, as ever, is appreciated and, if it puts a smile or two on a couple of faces then it's all been worthwhile, don't you think?
