On the morning of 19th June, the re-arranged Junior School Sports Day took place on the school playing field.
It got off to a good start with the Obstacle Relay races, which are always fun to watch and take part in. Then followed a whole range of different events, including Shot Putt, Relay and the ever-popular house Tug of War.
The event went very well, except for the Long Jump and Triple Jump which had to be cancelled due to the sand pit looking like a swimming pool.

J6 Tug of War - a hugely popular event!
The cups were presented to the winners by Mr Bennett, although the House Cup can’t be presented until the long and triple jumps have been completed. However, in the lead so far is York on 175 points, with Grant on 157 points, Milton and Parker are joint third on 155 points.
There were two school records broken – Year 5 High Jump by Kieran Paxton and Year 6 Shot Putt by Charlie Beckett.
It all went very smoothly and everyone – children and parents alike – enjoyed themselves.
