On Monday the 12th of November we played St Mary’s on the school pitch. It was a very close and exciting game that went down to the last minute. We took an early lead with me scoring the first try and converting it. St Mary’s soon equalised, but I managed to score two more tries, converted by Max Hodkinson and James Owen.
St Mary’s fought back and by half time it was 21 points all.
The second half was a close battle with tries by Charlie Horrocks and William Gilby converted by James Owen and myself . St Mary’s fought back again and scored a try in the last seconds to win the game. The final score was 38 to St Mary’s and 35 to Merchant’s.
