Year 3 trip to Crosby Hall Educational Trust

Oh what a glorious day, the best day ever. We lucky J3 boys just had such a fantastic time. There was only a short coach trip and before we knew it, we were given maps out sent out into an enormous field and wood to follow the map and find treasure. There were bushes to climb in and ditches to jump.

Next, we were shown how to put safety helmets on and to use different types of apparatus safely. We had to get over a chain walk and then help each other up and over a wall, Mrs White said it was the first and only time that we could climb on her shoulders, and she only got kicked in the face once!

We were really proud of Oliver; he didn't like the height too much but was ever so brave and tried everything.

Packed lunches were super and then we got to play in the field again.

After lunch we went to another wood and were shown how to stack branches against a tree trunk to make a den that we could sit in. Then we were allowed to just get on with it! And we did!

CHET 3

Our teachers loved the day as much as us and said they were so happy to see how well we all worked together.

A fantastic day and we made such a good impression that the new year 3 boys to be will be invited to go too.

Max Jackson reports...

It was a great day to have a school trip and I couldn't wait to get to school

The day started with a short coach ride to Chet (Crosby Hall Educational Trust) http://chet.moonfruit. We got off the coach and walked to the room where we were going to have our lunch. On the way to lunch room we walked past some stables and they were quite stinky.

Our first activity was orienteering. My team got eight of our clues but then some of us got the map wrong and we went the wrong way.

After the orienteering we had a toilet break some of us went to the loo others had a drink and then we swapped activities. We had to do an assault course. Mrs White was a bit regretful after she let us climb on her to get over the wall. There was a rope swing and a climbing wall it was great! Then we had another toilet break. After that we had lunch.

In the afternoon we went to another wood and made dens all we used were our hand. No pulleys or chains just wood to lean against the trees. After we had tidied up the dens we went back to the coach after yet another toilet break and back to school to go home. I really loved the school trip thank you so much for the teachers who organised our school trip!!
