2020vision Merchants Connected ArchivesThe Hat Museum
Year 2 visited the Hat Museum in Stockport, on Thursday 25th September, as our focus for art this term is hats and hat design. The children learned about the lives of every day people in the past who worked in factories; from the mill owner, in his top hat to the workers in their flat caps!
Each child made their own piece of felt by hand. We also tried on hats for different purposes.
We visited the exhibition ‘In the Pool' and we tried on lots of swimming hats - great fun! We had a busy and very enjoyable day!
