Reception visited Chester Zoo in the Summer term to present a cheque to the head zookeeper of the giraffes. The children had taken part in a sponsored event to raise money for the adoption of a giraffe.
They were very excited to see a plaque with the school name on and were equally pleased that the giraffes and elephants were in a playful mood.
In the week following the trip reception made models of their favourite zoo animal.
