Christmas Assembly

Handbells
In the last assembly before Christmas, the school was treated to an impromptu concert given by several of the school music ensembles. The orchestra, senior choir, junior choir and Year 6 handbell group all combined to present a programme of both festive and non-festive pieces.

Orchestra
Due to a busy second half to the autumn term, which includes all of the school nativity plays, it is difficult to schedule a formal Christmas concert, so it was nice for the girls and boys involved to have the opportunity to show the rest of the school what they have been rehearsing throughout the term.

Senior choir
I would like to take this opportunity to say well done to all those involved, and say a special thank you to the four members of the orchestra from the Boys Junior School who made the effort to come down and take part, as well as all of the parents who have demonstrated their continued support of all the music at Stanfield.

Due to the success of the staff dance at the end of the talent show in July, some of the staff decided to do another performance. This time they danced to 'All i want for Christmas, is you' by Mariah Carey. The dance was choreographed by Mrs McEvoy and went down very well!
