Handbells

This is a new venture this year following on from bell ringing workshops during our Arts Festival in June 2004.
As so many girls from Years 5 & 6 wanted to participate we have two groups.

We use ‘belleplates' rather than bells as they are more resilient than bells, whilst retaining a pleasing sound.

Recorder playing and other percussion work, including group compositions, is done during class music lessons.
