National Primary swimming Championships
Swimming team
Stanfield have been successful in reaching the National Finals of Primary Schools Swimming Championships for the fifth time in the last six years. The finals were held in Sheffield at Ponds Forge International Swimming Complex on Saturday 23rd June 2007.
The team members were Charlotte Disley, Nell Vitty, Rae Henderson Lloyd, Millie McCaughrean and Hailey Shaw. Also in the team but unable to swim due to a broken arm was Antonia Clayson.
The atmosphere in Sheffield was electric, and the girls competed in the Freestyle Relay and the Medley Relay, recording personal best times in both events. They managed to reach the B Final of the medley relay, finishing in 8th position which puts them 16th fastest in the country.
Well done to all those involved and we look forward to hearing of further successes in the pool when you go up to seniors in September.
