Summer Pops 2008
The four Merchant Taylors' schools came together for our first Summer Pops - a picnic in the park - on Saturday 28th June. The event was held on the cricket pitch at the Boys' School and we were all delighted that it was a sell out!
Over 300 pupils performed as well as BarrioViejo, and Liquourice Slick. The high-light, though was when Eton Road (contestants from ITV's X- Factor) took to the stage and who were eventually joined on stage by all the pupils for their final number of the evening.
Parents, pupils and staff all thoroughly enjoyed the event, particularly as is remained dry, unlike the previous Thursday when the riggers from Tega, the stage hire company, would have been forgiven if they had elected to build an ark rather than the stage!
