World Book Day
At the end of February we held our annual book fair. A wonderful selection of books was provided by Travelling Books. Julia from Travelling Books got the fair off to a great start by talking to the

children in assembly.
Thank you to everyone who supported the fair. We took over £2700 and made £1500 commission to spend on books for school. We also donated £100 to Book Aid International, a charity which provides books for developing countries.

Thursday 6th March was World Book Day and it was celebrated enthusiastically in school by both pupils and staff. Everyone dressed up as a favourite story book character. We had reading swaps and storytelling, a special book related assembly and competitions for everyone to enter. Several classes enjoyed listening to stories in our new Story Tent.
After the success of last year's temporary story tent it was decided to create a more permanent structure. An area outside the music room has been hung with rainbow coloured curtains to form a special place to share stories.
