On Friday 20th June, Year 4 enjoyed a sunny morning at Formby nature reserve studying habitats. We looked at four contrasting habitats: - deciduous and coniferous woodland, the sand dunes and the beach. We were encouraged to explore our surroundings not only by looking, but also by using our senses of hearing and smell. Even though the place is familiar to many of us, it was exciting to see it in a new light and to learn so much about the plants and creatures that inhabit this lovely area.
