The Ian Robinson Sports Centre was opened in September 2011 and is now available for public hire and membership for the first time.
The £5.5m Sports Centre is an eco-friendly, stylish, state-of-the-art, safe sporting environment that provides an opportunity for everyone to play and participate in a wide range of sports in the Sports Hall and Dance Studio, and become an exclusive member of the vibrant and unique Fitness Suite.
The large Sports Hall (4 court) can entertain badminton, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, netball, tennis and volleyball bookings on a long term or single status. Sports teams, clubs, groups, organisations and societies looking for an excellent and cost-effective venue to hold regular training sessions or competitive fixtures are welcomed.
The centre also has capacity for function room hire with catering facilities on-site, making it an ideal venue for meetings, presentations, coach education and training courses.
