Introducing our new Bursar
Mr Philip Gaunt, Bursar and Clerk to the Governors, retired at the beginning of September after 18 years distinguished service to the Schools. Everyone connected with the Schools will wish Philip and his wife Anne a long, happy and healthy retirement.
The Governing Body is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Alison Pope as Philip's replacement. Mrs Pope graduated from Leeds University with an honours degree in Economics and Accounting before qualifying as a Management Accountant with Midland Bank. She subsequently worked in a number of accounting and financial management roles for NWS Bank and BAe before joining her present employer Balfour Beatty, based in Prescot. Her current position is Finance Manager and Trust Company Secretary for the Balfour Beatty (formerly BICC) Pension Fund. She is a fellow of the Institute of Management Accountants and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Mrs Pope is married with a son who attends Stanfield. We look forward to welcoming her to the Schools and hope she enjoys a long and successful career with us.
