Merchants sponsor charity 1000 mile bike ride
On April 22nd 2009, 10 cyclists will be flying from Liverpool to Barcelona to embark on a charity bike ride. Merchant Taylors' is sponsoring the organiser Mike Whitwood and Merchant Taylors' Old Girl Rachel Baillie is also doing the ride.
They will be raising awareness and money for the Marina Dalglish Appeal. Marina works closely with several cancer wards and the aim of the ride is to raise £25,000 for chairity between the participants. The aim of the event is to cycle the 1000 miles from the Nou Camp to Anfield Liverpool in 10 days.
