Wooden Spoon Dinner
The Wooden Spoon joined forces with Merchant Taylors' Rugby Club to host a ‘Sporting Dinner' on 6th March in the Williams Hall raising funds for both the Wooden Spoon and the forthcoming Rugby Tour of South America
M A C Slemen as President of the Wooden Spoon (Merseyside) proposed the toast, and a sumptuous dinner followed.
John Bentley (ex Lions) gave a hilarious and sometimes profound speech followed by the inimitable Sean Stiles of Radio Merseyside.
Together with the silent auction and raffle the evening raised over £4000.
A big thank you to our guests for coming and spending, the sponsors for giving and the boys (both rugby and rowing) for working!
