Legacy Information
What Will your legacy be?
A legacy bequest from Mr John Harrison in 1620 founded the original Merchant Taylors' School in Crosby. Since then legacies have formed a crucial part of the Schools growth and progress and have made a tremendous difference to subsequent generations of pupils.
By leaving a legacy to the Schools, a very personal gesture can have a lasting impact. No matter how big or small, your legacy would be used to maximum benefit by the Schools to the benefit of current and future pupils.
If you have a particular aspect of the Schools you would like to support, for example the Boys' School, then this can be arranged. There are options for your legacy to be used for building and refurbishment projects, bursaries....whatever you would prefer.
If you have already made a Will it is sensible to review it regularly and if you choose to provide a gift for the Schools, then this can be done through an addition to your Will or codicil.
N.B. All donations are exempt from inheritance tax, so a gift to Merchant Taylors' Schools can reduce the tax you pay on your entire estate.
