OC President's Letter

The Old Boys' Association Dinners and other events such as the Annual Golf Tournament and LOBAGS matches, form one of the corner stones of the Association.

Huge thanks must go to the Organisers of these events - David Anderson (LOBAGS); Colin Barron (Cambridge Dinner); Chris Delaney (York Dinner); Ian Duckett (Crosby Golf Tournament); Darius Ferrigno (London Dinner); John Goble (Hants, Sussex and Dorset Luncheon); Ian Nevison (Edinburgh Dinner); Mike Purse (South West Dinner); Denvir Drury and Jeremy Myers (Crosby Dinner) and not forgetting our friends in Canada and North America who help to organise overseas reunion events.

All of these events provide us with the opportunity of meeting old friends and making new ones, and they are always excellent value.

We do however have a gap in our social calendar at present - namely the Oxford Dinner. The history of this event goes back many years and the Dinner has traditionally taken place in one of the colleges at Oxford University in the Autumn. We are therefore seeking an organiser to take this annual Dinner forward.

I actually ran the Edinburgh Dinner many years ago and the task is NOT as onerous as one may think! In addition the Organiser will have support from the Schools' Marketing & Development Office in terms of advertising and promoting the event.

I would therefore be delighted to hear from any Old Boys who would be prepared to take on the organisation of this prestigious annual dinner. If you would like to have a chat about what is involved, or to express an interest in being the organiser, please do not hesitate to contact me:

Finally, may I re-iterate to all our Undergraduate Members that the Old Boys' Association will pay half the price of any Dinner that you attend.

Thank you
