In Year 7, all pupils take General Science, which includes elements of Chemistry.
In Years 8 to 11 Chemistry is part of the core curriculum, and all pupils take Chemistry as a GCSE - most of them at Higher level, although a few will take the Foundation Tier if that is more appropriate.
