Edinburgh Dinner 2011

In November 2011, eleven of us sat down to an excellent 4 course meal at our usual haunt, the Royal British Hotel on Princes St and kindly organised by Ian Nevison.

We were joined again by our now annual guest from O.M.T., who copes extremely with all of our " Crosby talk ". Unfortunately, due to family committments, this year we missed the company of Tony and Ann Whittaker and that along with the fact that we had 3 or 4 apologies, would have meant a good increase in numbers over previous years.

The President, playing 'at home' ( and not in kilt for once ) proposed the Toast to the School, somehow managing to include references to the cultural and time-keeping differences between Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as the rivalries between Hawick and Gala rugby clubs.

Mr Holroyd, Head of Music, replied on behalf of the School and handed round a number of photographs of the new Sports Complex.

We then repaired to the Bar for more refreshments before heading to the cold Edinburgh night air to do battle with the havoc caused by " THE TRAM ".

All in all an excellent night was had by all and we look forward to meeting everyone again next year.
