2020vision Merchants Connected ArchivesExpedition to Kenya
Simon Herzberg and Jon Kellaway wrote to the Parents Association in January 2007 requesting sponsorship from the PA for an expedition to Kenya.
The Army Cadet Force planned a month long expedition to Kenya. Simon and Jon stated that they were to take part in numerous activities such as the ascent of Mount Kenya and, most importantly, the completion of a community project at a local school, building vital equipment such as desks and chairs.
Chris Crosbie and Mary Shaw presented a cheque for £250 to both Simon and Jon and wished them success on the expedition.
On their return the Cadets spoke to the Junior School about their experiences.
