After fourteen wonderful years on the Parents' Association my final duty hosting the Leavers' Parents Party took place on Sunday 12th June.
For me and many other parents it is an emotional time. Our boys are leaving the security of school and entering a more independent phase of their lives. Probably leaving home and having to fend for themselves for the first time in their lives!
The informal party was a chance for parents to chat about their memories of the school - the music and drama productions, sporting events and many more personal memories. As usual the old photographs of the boys were a great talking point, and I am pleased to say that the majority of parents were able to correctly identify their own son!!
After a glass or two of wine the embarrassing parents photograph went ahead, despite the rather rainy weather.
Finally, I would like to wish all the boys leaving this year the best of luck in whatever they are going on to do, may they be happy and have a very successful future.
‘Bye
Chris Crosbie
