Just prior to Christmas of last year, Adam Weston, a pupil of Year 11, approached the Parents' Association with a request for a small financial donation to help fund a charitable trip abroad. Adam is part of a Youth Fellowship Team that, later this year, will be travelling to three areas of Uganda: Masaka, Lugala and Lungujja to both help in the local communities and teach in the local schools.
In order to achieve this, Adam has to raise £600 individually and a further £600 in teamwork exercises. As a contribution to his efforts, on the 23rd February this year, the Parents' Association presented Adam with a cheque for £250.
We all wish him every success with this venture and for the future and admire him for his commitment.
Mary Shaw
President of the Parents' Association
