Explaining the technology of the television, saw a quartet of Merchant Taylors’ Boys’ School sixth form students win the Merseyside section of the Institute of Physics Scicast competition.
They made a two minute 30 second video explaining the technology first developed by John Logie Baird in the 1920s, producing a storyboard with full script prior to submission to the judges at Institute of Physics. The quartet has been invited to a Physics Masterclass at Liverpool University led by TV producer Jonathan Sanderson who runs the Planet Scicast website.
