Saturday, Sports Day - and Sunshine
Once again we were blessed with a sunny afternoon for Sports Day - albeit a little chilly if you got caught by the wind out of the sun.
Masterminded for the first time by Ian McKie, and compered with typical wit from the Pavilion by Mike Slemen the series of track and field events went by with friendly rivalry between the four houses.

The Parents Association did a roaring trade in strawberry teas, whilst the younger members of the crowd seemed to prefer the barbecue. During the rather long endurance test (the 1500 metres race), the Swing Band provided entertainment. Once upon a time there was a 3000 metres, but no doubt the NSPCC objected and it was withdrawn! Or maybe the Swing Band didn't have enough breath to blow that long, or the Tea tent sufficient strawberries!

TH: that is not on the timetable
