Second-hand Uniform Sale
The Parents' Association is hosting a Second-Hand Uniform and Sportswear Sale on Wednesday, 24th February 2010 in the Sixth Form Common Room (Wylie Building), from 7.00-8.30 pm.
We welcome uniform from both the Main and Junior School. Articles may be brought into school on Monday 22nd February, Tuesday 23rd February or the morning of Wednesday 24th February and left in the Troutbeck Room either before lessons start or at lunch break time. Cricket whites will be included for this sale.
In order to ensure the efficient running of the sale, it will not be possible to accept any items on the evening of 24th February.
Garments should be clean and in reasonable condition (due to the demand for second-hand uniform, particularly PE and games kit, items that are less than completely perfect may be acceptable) and have an ENVELOPE (for the return of money to yourself) firmly attached with a safety pin, giving:
1. the name, address and telephone number of the vendor, whether Junior or Main School and form number;
2. the type of garment;
3. a note of the size if possible;
4. a large GREEN cross and the date of this sale (i.e. February 2010) to enable committee members to date unsold clothing.
Only the sale organiser will determine prices. Boys in the Junior School will receive their money back from Mrs Thomas and boys in the Main School via their form tutors.
In order to facilitate the return of money, it would be very much appreciated if cash could be used for purchasing uniform on the day of the sale.
Unsold garments will be stored for one year but, as we have limited storage space, after three sales the items will be disposed of to a charitable cause. All old style uniform will be donated to charity. Garments can be claimed back at the end of the sale. We do not accept or sell any uniform for Merchant Taylors' Girls' School or Stanfield.
There will be an admittance charge of 50p for each adult.
