Ian Robinson - 1959-2007

Ian Robinson
It was with deepest sadness that we had to announce the death of Ian Robinson in a tragic white-water-rafting accident whilst in Australia with the School's Rugby Tour
Ian's funeral took place on Friday 17th August and was a very moving and fitting tribute to a greatly loved, admired and respected teacher
Book of Remembrance - is available in Reception at the Lodge for boys, Old Crosbeians, parents, colleagues and friends to write their own tributes. In due course it will be bound and kept in School as a lasting tribute to Ian.

David Cook, the Headmaster said:
"Ian Robinson has taught at Merchant Taylors' since 1984 and was very popular with staff and boys alike. He was an immensely hard-working and caring professional. Over a generation of boys have benefited from his teaching and care. He will be very much missed and very fondly remembered. Everyone involved at Merchants is very sad and profoundly shocked. Our heartfelt sympathy is with Mr. Robinson's wife and family."
A great number of tributes to Ian have been posted in the Facebook website, as well as numerous messages coming into School.
