Merchant Taylors' Girls' School GCSE Press Release - August 2010

Merchant Taylors' Girls' School enjoyed 99.7% A-C pass rate with 68.7% at A* A. Once again Merchant Taylors' girls proved that when the going gets tough the tough get going reserving their very best performance for what are traditionally the hardest subjects. Merchant Taylors' young chemists achieved 86% A*, while their physicists enjoyed a 78% A* rating.

Top achiever was Eleanor Equizi from Southport who gained 9 straight A*. Jodie Altham, Jessica Davies, Kate Attwood, Joy Harris-Folb and Rachel Li gained 8 A* and 1A. Other star performers, pictured with Mrs Robinson, were Jemma Proudfoot-Jones and Chelsea Leung both from Southport who also achieved 8 A* and 1A. Following A Levels both girls have ambitions to go on to study medicine.
