2020vision Merchants Connected ArchivesBethany performs ahead of her years
Talented Merchant Taylors' Sixth Former Bethany Hinton-Lever is performing ahead of her years having achieved her second diploma in Music Theatre.
On top of studying for her Classics, English Literature and Theatre Studies A Levels, Bethany has gained the ALCM diploma, which students would usually be awarded at the end of their second year at university! Last year she gained the dipLCM, which would usually be taken at the end of a student's first year.
The rising star not only now has the accolade of two sets of letters after her name, but she also achieved the outstanding mark of 91%, the pass mark being 75%. The achievement comes after nine years involvement with the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts as well as attendance at the Liverpool Empire Theatre Youth Club.
In school, Bethany, who is voice-coached by music tutor Julie Ann Carr, had one of the leading roles in the Merchant Taylors' Joint School Musical, Calamity Jane, last November. She adds this to her appearances in Little Shop of Horrors and My Fair Lady at the school.
Bethany is hoping to attend London School of Speech and Drama next year but while looking to the future also has a strong connection with the past and wants to continue with her other passions: archaeology and Ancient Civilisations.
