Martin Jones - International Concert Pianist
The recital was breathtaking. Quotes following the performance include "At one point I couldn't even see his hands and fingers, they were moving so fast". "Absolutely fantastic". "Better than I possibly imagined".
The programme was wonderful and included a superb performance of Ravel's fiendishly difficult "Gaspard de la Nuit". Each piece was played with such emotion, skill and technical brilliance, appealing. The atmosphere was electric. At the end of the concert Martin was kept busy signing autographs, many people asking if there's any chance he'll come back again next year.
