Mike Badger
The legendary Mike Badger is one of Liverpool's leading artists & musicians and he has collaborated with a number of workshops at the school. Working with visiting artists is a key feature of the GCSE & Alevel art courses & here is a selection of girls work from a visit to Crosby Beach.

Fashion
In recent years we have held a number of fashion shows in the Centenary Hall & the Vitreum including the White Collection, Pop Art and Future Gothic.. Watch this space for 2011's Carnival theme!

Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Yorkshire Sculpture Park was a chilly but ideal location for inspiration for examination ideas for our upper school girls in 2009 / 10.. This was further developed with workshops by local sculptor Susan Meyerhoff Sharples. Checkout her page on the Vitreum website.

Printmaking Workshops 2011
Upper 6th Art students enjoyed advanced printmaking workshops with the Liverpool School of Art & the Bluecoat Gallery in 2011. International artists Neil Morris & Emma Gregory taught drypoint, etching & silkscreen - processes usually explored at degree level to our girls.


The Annual Art & Design Lecture in the Centenary Hall
Over the past three years we have been captivated by talks from Professor Kronenburg - Liverpool University School of Architecture, Ben Johnson - Capital of Culture Artist in Residence and old girl and Design for Life winner, Ilsa Parry. Watch this space for 2011.

Marvel Comics comes to Merchant Taylors!
Illustrator & graphic designer Tim Quinn an editor at legendary Marvel Comics thrilled Year groups from the schools with his fast paced workshops in September 2010.

Turbinegeneration Art Club in partnership with the Tate
Year 7 students are currently working in collaboration with an international partner school.
