GO GREEN WEEK

The Home Economics Department along with the local branch of Sainsbury’s entered into the spirit of ‘Go Green Week’ in October. Ann Iveson and Lynn Blower joined us for the morning to make presentations to Year 7 and 8 girls. It was very interesting to learn what Sainsbury’s are doing to meet targets regarding energy saving throughout its stores and offering its customers a ‘green’ alternative when shopping. As well as a very informative talk the girls were treated to a taste session of organic produce sold in the store.
