Junior Boys' Parent Teacher Association
Welcome to the PTA section!
Here you will find information on the work of the PTA, how to get involved and what events are coming up soon.
We already have a thriving PTA, dedicated to establishing strong links between Home and School in the senior school. But from September 2014 the Boys’ Junior School had its own PTA. As a fund raising body, the PTA is primarily concerned with activities that develop social links with school.
The Junior school highly values the Home / School partnership and hopes to develop the free flow of information that will take place in an atmosphere of understanding and open-ness.
Have you got a child at Merchant Taylors’ boys school or are you a member of staff? Then you are a member of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
Raises money through fun events and initiatives.
Spends its money to enrich the children’s education.
Help the school with events.
How your support will help our future plans:
There are lots of ways you can help and support your child through the PTA. Offering to help before events or at other times during the year is so valuable – it really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’. It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, or even if you can’t come into school. There are always little jobs that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare e.g. wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets etc.
• You can of course volunteer to be a Committee Member. Or you can simply support the PTA and give us your ideas for fundraising events – this is also the time to ask questions or voice your opinion.
• You can help by letting us know if you have any contacts or skills we could use – everything is potentially valuable to us.
• We always endeavour to spend our funds in ways that will benefit all our children across all areas of the school and curriculum. Many of the resources purchased have a direct link to the School Improvement Plan.
If you could offer your time and services please contact Mrs Amanda Wynne – [email protected] for further details and the date of our next meeting.
