Merchants’ RAF Victorious!

The RAF CCF Section travelled to RAF Halton, Aylesbury, to compete against nine other teams from across the UK CCF RAF schools on Sunday 24th June. The team had been busy practicing at weekends for the event and were confident that this practice would pay off. Hours of pounding the drill square, getting wrapped up in knots with leadership tasks and pouring over books on topics such as Aircraft Recognition and RAF knowledge smattered in amongst GCSE and A level revision is testament to the dedication of the team.
Under the leadership of CWO Apel MTS, the RAF Section were victorious in picking up the Command Task Trophy for the second year running. Overall, MTS came a very creditable 7th place, with other notable performances in first aid and shooting. Well done to all the cadets involved!
