Summer Cricket Camp

This summer, we’re delighted to host a two-day Cricket Camp led by Simon Sutcliffe, former Head of Cricket at Merchant Taylors’.

Open to boys and girls aged 8 to 14, the camp is suitable for both beginners and more experienced players. Across the two days, participants will develop their skills in all key areas of the game in a structured, supportive and enjoyable environment.

Dates: Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 August 2026
Time: 9.30am – 3.30pm each day
Location: Merchant Taylors’ School, Harrison Site
Cost: £36 per day or £60 for both days

Throughout the camp, participants will work on a range of cricketing skills, including:

Batting techniques – from shot selection to playing spin and pace

Bowling skills – focusing on seam and spin, with an emphasis on accuracy and control

Fielding drills – including catching, throwing and positioning

Tactical awareness – learning how to read the game and make informed decisions

Confidence building – encouraging teamwork, focus and self-belief on the field
