At Merchant Taylors’, we are committed to ensuring that every Sixth Form pupil has the tools, guidance, and confidence to succeed. Our Learning Support provision is tailored to meet individual needs, helping pupils overcome challenges and unlock their full academic potential.

We understand that learning is not one-size-fits-all. That is why our experienced Learning Support team works closely with pupils, subject teachers, and parents to provide bespoke strategies that foster independence, resilience, and academic growth. Whether a pupil has a diagnosed learning difference or simply needs additional support with study skills, we offer a compassionate and professional approach that puts the learner first.

Our learning support offers:

• Individualised Support Plans tailored to each pupil’s strengths and needs;
• Access Arrangements for examinations, including extra time and assistive technology where appropriate;
• Study Skills Coaching to develop organisation, time management, and revision techniques;
• Drop-in Sessions and one-to-one support for targeted academic guidance;
• Collaboration with Tutors and Teachers to ensure consistent support across subjects;
• Transition Support for pupils joining Sixth Form from other schools.
