Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Merchant Taylors’ School. You will be someone who is motivated by helping others, patient and resilient. The post is term time only, 37 hours per week and offered on a permanent basis.
You will be required to teach 1:1 and small groups of up to 10 pupils, and support the Head of Learning Support, Teachers and Senior Leadership Team. You will be responsible for providing essential support to our pupils with learning difficulties, behavioural, social and physical disabilities.

Teacher of LAMDA – Maternity Cover
Closing date: Friday 12 September 2025 (Midday)
We are seeking a creative and experienced Teacher of LAMDA to teach the pupils of Merchant Taylors’ School on a casual basis as Maternity Cover for up to one year. This is an exciting opportunity to join the enthusiastic Performing Arts team at Merchant Taylors’ School. You will be responsible for preparing and giving lessons in Verse & Prose, Speaking in Public, Acting and Devising to pupils in our Primary and Secondary Schools (including 6th form) in line with the agreed timetable, in preparation for LAMDA examinations. We are seeking a casual working arrangement whereby the hours of work will be flexible based on pupil interest.

CCF Contingent Commander

Merchant Taylors’ School is currently hiring for a CCF Contingent Commander. The role is the senior Cadet Force Adult Volunteer with responsibility for the safe, efficient and effective running of the Combined Cadet Force Contingent at Merchant Taylors’ School. The Contingent Commander has overall responsibility for all Sections within the Contingent, their organisation, activity welfare and safety on behalf of the Headmaster. They are supported in this role within the Contingent by the Section Commanders, Section CFAVs and the School Staff Instructor.
