1st XV Battle to Lancashire Cup Final

The 1st XV had an intense battle on Wednesday afternoon against Scarisbrick Hall School in the Lancashire Cup Semi Final. It was a nail-biting match in which Merchant Taylors’ eventually triumphed 14-12, meaning the team have now earned a spot in the final where they will face off against Stonyhurst.

In the second half, the team delivered an outstanding performance. Despite being two tries down at halftime, they never gave up and with three penalties and a try, they managed to turn the game around and secure the win.

The victory means that it is three finals in three years for the Senior Rugby Group, who are getting better each year. It is a testament to their hard work and dedication; Each year, they continue to improve and set the bar higher.
